The white pearl specifically represents beauty, purity, and new beginnings. Pearls are known to protect against nervous and anxious thoughts and control one's anger. In some cultures, pearls are associated with the divine and it was thought that they were tears shed from heaven. Ancient Greeks believed that pearls were the hardened tears of joy from Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
